Hannah gets her ears pierced!

Apparently I told the girls a few years ago that when they turned 10 they could get their ears pierced. Hmmm, that seemed so far away at the time. So off to the mall and Claire's we went. Aunty Di got them done for her as her birthday present. Now that's a great present. Hannah didn't even flinch when they pulled the trigger, so to speak. She has been loving them ever since.

Hannah turns 10!

Hannah had a great 10th Birthday. We celebrated on her actual birthday, April 25th by going to the school carnival in the morning and then hosted a pool party for her and her friends at a nearby hotel. They had a lot of fun decorating their flip flops and visors before swimming, swimming, swimming and eating pizza. We spent the night and the kids got to swim again in the morning.

Spring Break 2009

We had a great time in Florida. Of our 10 days there, we spent 6 days visiting all 4 Disney Parks. It was hot, crowded and exhausting. There were a couple of cold days that were actually nice for us northerners! The girls got their hair braided the first day at Star Island. We did lots of swimming and activities there and at Bonnet Creek. Much of the time was spent standing in line or traversing the park to get to another line. There were record numbers of people but we still managed to see almost everything and have some fun along the way! The girls enjoyed having their passports stamped at every country at Epcot, but the biggest hit was the cool Kim Possible adventures. They got their own cell phone that transmitted clues for them to search for things in certain countries and solve a mystery. They really had fun with that. We decided we loved the roller coasters but the simulator rides, not so much. We saw lots of neat shows at all of the parks. We enjoyed the safari at Animal Kingdom and thought Expedition Everest was the best ride! We spent our last day lounging at the pool before heading back to a beautiful weather weekend at home.
